Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 Protects Up to 100,000 Concurrent Email Users
Campbell, Calif., May 21, 2008 – Barracuda Networks Inc., the worldwide leader in email and Web security appliances, today launched the Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and other large organizations with up to 100,000 concurrent email users and 5,000 domains in a single appliance. Available at $89,999 with no per user licensing fees, the Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 is the most affordable high capacity email gateway appliance available for service providers and other organizations hosting large volumes of email.

In addition, the Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 features advanced capabilities including redundant hot swap power supplies, and dual gigabit Ethernet ports. Multiple Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 models can be clustered for both scalability and redundancy.

Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 orders in the U.S. will be accepted starting this week and will begin shipping in June. The Barracuda Spam Firewall 1000 is priced at $89,999 for the appliance and $24,299 per year for subscription to the Energize Update service.
