Barracuda Networks Acquires Purewire
Combination Strengthens Barracuda Networksâ SaaS Offerings with Addition of Web Security-as-a-Service
Campbell, Calif. â Oct. 13, 2009 Barracuda Networks Inc., the worldwide leader in content security appliances, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Purewire Inc. (Purewireâą), an award-winning SaaS-based secure Web gateway provider. This combination broadens the companyâs cloud-based platform, enabling it to extend its market leading security solutions across a variety of delivery models including appliance, SaaS and hybrid. Additionally, this acquisition deepens Barracuda Networksâ security research and threat detection capabilities.

The award-winning Purewire Web Security Service is available worldwide to Barracuda Networks customers and partners.
