The following screenshots illustrate the Web user interface of the Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall.


  Description
Basic -> Status
Shows the number of emails received and statistics on how they were processed. Typically, a Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall will block, quarantine, or tag between 85% and 90% of all incoming SMTP connections.
Basic -> Message Log
Displays an entry for each message showing how it was processed and where it was routed.
Basic -> Spam Checking
Controls basic spam and policy settings, including Fingerprint Analysis, Intent Analysis, Image Analysis, Bayesian Analysis and setting the score levels for tagging, quarantine, and blocking of emails.
Basic -> Virus Checking
Controls the Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall antivirus technology, including Barracuda Real-time Protection.
Basic -> Quarantine
Configurations for quarantine usage.
Basic -> IP Configuration
Network information settings, including the IP address, for the Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall.
Basic -> Administration
Administrative settings for the Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall. Also controls the ability to journal a message that passes through the Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall by creating a copy of the email message to be forwarded to the specified destination address.
Basic -> Reports
Generate or schedule reports to be sent via email.
Block/Accept -> IP Reputation
Controls IP reputation analysis features, including the Barracuda Reputation Service and the use of third-party DNSBLs.
Block/Accept -> Rate Control
Settings for rate control to limit the number of incoming connections accepted from any IP address.
Block/Accept -> IP Filters
Configurations for message actions (block, quarantine, tag or whitelist) based on sender IP addresses.
Block/Accept -> Sender Domain
Configurations for message actions (block, quarantine, tag or whitelist) based on sender domains.
Block/Accept -> Sender Email
Configurations for message actions (block, quarantine, tag or whitelist) based on the email address of senders.
Block/Accept -> Sender Authentication
Controls policy for email protocols designed to detect spoofing of the sender domain, including Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and DomainKeys (DKIM). Controls Invalid Bounce Suppression, a technology that blocks incoming bounce message (NDRs) resulting from spoofing of the recipient’s domain. Invalid Bounce Suppression requires that organizations use Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewalls to relay both their inbound and outbound email.
Block/Accept -> Recipient Filters
Configurations for message actions (block, quarantine, tag or whitelist) based on the email address or domain of recipients.
Block/Accept -> Attachment Filters
Configures which attachments are filtered and quarantined.
Block/Accept -> Subject/Header Filters
List of keywords or patterns in the subject/header that will block, quarantine, tag, or whitelist messages.
Block/Accept -> Body Filters
Configures keywords or patterns in the body of the email that will block, quarantine, tag, or whitelist messages.
Block/Accept -> Reverse DNS
Controls for determining which message action to take (block, quarantine, tag) based on the sender’s top level domain.
Block/Accept -> Regional Settings
Controls for determining which message action to take(block, quarantine, tag) based on the character set of an email.
Users -> Account View
Displays account information pertaining to both end user policy, user roles (available on Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall 600 and higher) and quarantined emails.
Users -> Retention Policies
Retention policies for expiring quarantine messages.
Domains -> Domain Manager
Lists accepted domains for incoming email. A single Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall can process email for multiple email domains.
Domains -> Users-> Single Sign-on
Configure users the ability to log into their quarantine and/or per-user account using their username of full email address and their local, LDAP, RADIUS, or POP password.
Domains -> Users -> LDAP Configuration
LDAP settings for integration with directory servers, such as Active Directory, used for Recipient Verification. The Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall can automatically block messages sent to addresses that do not exist on the destination email server.
Domains -> Advanced -> Email Protocol
Controls for enforcing transfer encryption policy of email between domains using SMTP/TLS.
Advanced -> Email Protocol
Controls for email protocols, SMTP settings and transfer encryption policy using SMTP/TLS.
Advanced -> Energize Updates
Controls for Energize Updates, containing spam, virus, and security definitions that are used to help defend against spam and virus outbreaks. Energize Updates are updated around the clock by Barracuda Central.
Advanced -> Firmware Update
Provides firmware download options.
Advanced -> Outbound
Controls for sending outbound email through the Barracuda Spam & Virus Firewall that will be scanned for spam.
Advanced -> Outbound Footers
Customization of footers for all outbound emails.
Advanced -> Bounce/NDR Settings
Set customized bounce messages. Bounce messages can be sent for virus emails, spam messages and banned files.
Advanced -> Backup
Controls for backing up and restoring system configuration, user settings, and Bayesian database.
Advanced -> Troubleshooting
Provides a suite of tools to help diagnose potential network problems.
